E-mail archive

Employees of TU Clausthal have the option to archive emails. Archiving only makes sense for accounts with a large e-mail inventory. In this case, Microsoft Outlook may become slower or the indexing of e-mails may take a long time when logging on to a new system.

The software used is MailStore, for which 50 licenses are currently available. The archive offers a good keywording (search function) but does not meet the requirements of revision security.

If e-mail archiving is activated, access can be via web interface, Outlook plug-in or IMAP (SSL encrypted). Registration with the archiving system using your computer center account is only possible after activation, please contact support@rz.tu-clausthal.de.
