Server-Housing

Server housing is used to accommodate IT systems of TUC institutes in the central machine room of the data centre, where we take care of the power supply, installation in 19" racks, connection to the IT network infrastructure and air conditioning. Adequate security is provided with facilities for fire protection, burglary protection, access control and building surveillance. The administration of the systems is carried out by the applying employee of the respective facility.

In addition, the data center operates servers in a distributed VMware infrastructure (ESX server), where virtual machines on Windows2016 as well as Ubuntu or Debian Linux servers can be applied for.

The service can be applied for at the computer centre by the head of the facility using an application form with technical data and a contact person. The agreement is valid for an initial period of 3 years and is free of charge for institutions of Clausthal University of Technology.
