Central firewall

The TU Clausthal firewall protects the TUC's perimeter to the Internet and also all important internal IT services. Institutes also have the option of having laboratory networks protected by the central firewall.

It is a Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), which offers, in addition to the classic firewall protection, an intrusion prevention system that can proactively fend off attacks on the TUC infrastructure.
