The computer center creates and manages the computer center user accounts. Students, employees and other authorized users can use their computer center account to access a variety of central services of the computer center.
Students usually receive their user ID by post from the Student Secretariat after enrolment. The RZ user ID is assigned for a period of time during which you are entitled to use the computer centre in accordance with our usage regulations. A procedure has been established to check the validity of an ID, resulting in an automatic notification when the authorization expires. Details can be found on the pages of the data center documentation.
To change your password, log on to the service portal of the data center. If you have forgotten your password, you will receive a new one by presenting a photo ID to the computer center helpdesk.
Instructions for using the RZ services
A list of the services offered by the data center including short descriptions can be found in the tab "Services". Beyond this brief definition, the data center documentation contains detailed descriptions of the use of the services as well as, in individual cases, additional information about their background, application scenarios and possible uses.
Under doku.tu-clausthal.de you will find a thematic grouping of the existing manuals in the left-hand area. If you are stuck with the documentation, please use the search function or contact us directly via the support channels shown.
At the RZ-Helpdesk you will receive personal support for your IT problems in the university area - for example, if you have been assigned RZ accounts, lost your password or need to configure a program to use central RZ services (eduroam, Stud.IP, printing services, software, etc.).
Simply come to our computer centre (Erzstraße 18, building B5, room 043) during opening hours and follow the green arrows on the floor.
