Shibboleth

TU Clausthal is a member of the AAI Federation DFN AAI advanced. Using the procedure known as Shibboleth, members of the TU Clausthal can thus identify themselves to external service providers as members of the TUC in order to gain access to protected content.

To check access rights, the external service provider page usually asks you to select your home location. If you are not yet authenticated, you will be redirected to a corresponding page at Clausthal University of Technology, where you can log in with your computer center user ID. A "digital ID card" will then be created and checked by the provider when you return to the provider.
