II "Learning" pillar
Module 5 "Learning management systems Stud.IP and Moodle
- As before, tasks can be made available in the central learning management system Stud.IP. If necessary, the solutions can be emailed to the teachers for correction (high correction effort) or the teachers can provide sample solutions (has little effect from a teacher-learner psychological perspective).
- Moodle extends the functionality of Stud.IP with additional functions for online teaching. Students can solve tasks provided in Moodle and see if their solutions are correct. eAssessment systems have a strong learning effect. ZHD and RZ provide support in designing the tasks and their technical implementation.

- In Stud.IP there is the course "Moodle User Group" with user examples etc.
Module 6 "LernLink
- This platform provides students with basic knowledge in electrical engineering, physics, etc.
- The platform is not subject oriented but problem oriented or topic related. The ZHD advises on an extension of the LernLink offer.

Module 7 "Online tutorials and digital consultation hours
- Communication is essential for modern university teaching. In online tutorials and digital consultation hours, teachers of all status groups enter into a dialogue with students. In tutorials and office hours, concrete learning problems and possible solutions are discussed.
- Practical experience has shown that events with a high number of participants (approx. 200) can take place in BigBlueButton (BBB). This means that large exercises, in which, for example, exercise sheets are pre-calculated and discussed, can be carried out in BBB.
- Lecturers can use BBB as a web conference platform, which is recommended for didactic reasons or for better manageability for use in small groups consisting of 2-20 participants. It should also be noted that a high number of video images can lead to problems for students if the Internet and computer performance is poor.
- If there are more participants in BBB (more than 20), make sure that all cameras are deactivated, except for the speaker's camera if applicable.
- It is also recommended that the participants' microphones be deactivated/muted in the room settings.
- Questions can be asked in the chat (or the display of a request to speak can be shown by entering a "!" or "?").
- One person assumes the role of moderator, supervises the chat and gives the floor to the respective students in turn. If necessary, the microphones must be muted by the moderator.
- BigBlueButton can be integrated directly into the respective course via a plugin in Stud.IP or Moodle.
- Please also note the recommendations in Pillar I, Modules 3 and 4 for tutorials and exercises conducted in classroom or hybrid mode.
- RZ and ZHD support the development of online tutorials and digital consultation hours and train the employees.

Module 8 "Literature and learning materials
- Provision and use of accompanying materials from the textbook collection or online library. The range of available material will be extended if necessary.
- Teachers should recommend suitable, preferably digitally available literature, especially for first-year students, and indicate the sources.
- Students have access to various services of the TUC or generally to enable them to work and learn together: The external services not supported by the TUC, such as Skype, Facetime etc., enable audiovisual communication.
- The Academic Cloud (for students and teachers) and the TUCloud (exclusively for staff*) provide a platform for data exchange and collaborative work. The list of these services will certainly expand in the coming weeks.
- The TU Clausthal computer centre provides campus software via a network drive, which can be used by members of the TU (possibly under certain conditions) within the TU network or via VPN. A list of the available campus software can be found on the page : https://doku.tu-clausthal.de/doku.php?id=lizenzen_und_software:campus_software:start
- Some of the programs offered can also be accessed remotely via the Unix-based application server of Clausthal University of Technology (TU internal, via VPN), so that no local installation is necessary.
